Melisa Michelle x Ulta Makeup Palette Review
Today, I am bringing you a COMPLETE detailed review (with swatches) of the Melisa Michelle x Ulta Makeup Palette Review Palette. Does it hold up?
Melisa Michelle & Ulta released this all-in-one palette in July of 2017. The palette comes with 9 eyeshadow shades; 4 Mattes and 5 Metallics, a highlighter, a blush, AND a matte liquid lipstick – all for the amazing price of $20!
That’s a lot of bang for your buck.
*I have included swatches on my daughter, Alicia’s, skin tone as well as she is several shades darker than me.*

TERESITA – KADES – ALANA – LOLA
You guys know I LOVE a good shimmery shade, so it should come to no surprise that I love the metallic colors. They glide onto the skin very easily and are very creamy and highly pigmented.
I didn’t think Lola would show on my skin since I am so fair, but was pleasantly surprised to find it held its own. Teresita and Kades are very similar, but that is due to the golden flakes that allow the shades to shimmer. It is very obvious that Teresita is a gold shade, and Kades is a rose gold shade. As for Alana, I do wish it was more shimmery.

BING BING – HARLEY – WEEZY – ROSEMARY – TOBO
I have to say, that although the mattes didn’t swatch well with my fingers, they are still very pigmented and smooth. These shades aren’t exactly blowing me away, but they do blend well – and I absolutely LOVE the final look on my New Year’s Eve makeup tutorial. I think what sets these shades apart is that they work extremely well together.

The Highlighter in this palette is actually a highlighter trio. So, I swatched each shade separately and then together. The back of the palette states, “When swirled, magic happens!” now, don’t get me wrong, the shade is BEAUTIFUL, but not super different than the others. Come to think of it, the other shades don’t differ from each other very much.
The darkest shade however, is definitely more discernible.

MAHAL – SCANDY
Mahal is a gorgeous pinkish brown that truly works with every look you can create with 9 provided eye shades; and Melisa hit a home run with Scandy as well, as the pinkish nude would also work with every look.

The palette is very beautiful. The packaging is super cute as well, but what really makes this palette unique is it’s true all-in-one design. It’s not often that we see a palette that not only includes a blush and a highlighter, but a lipstick as well. I think Melisa did an amazing job with the palette and although I wasn’t a loyal follower of hers before (to be honest, I hadn’t ever watched her), I definitely hit that subscribe button today.
