A Mother’s Honest Review – The Honest Company

“I founded The Honest Company because I wanted safe, effective products that perform. After all, you shouldn’t have to choose between what works and what’s good for you.” – Jessica Alba, Founder

The Honest Company was founded in 2011 – and really gained stride as a trustworthy brand in parents’ eyes everywhere. I had my daughter, Alicia in 2008 – so by the time I heard of The Honest Company, we weren’t using very man baby products anymore.

However, when I got pregnant with James last year, I knew that I wanted to give The Honest Company a try. So, we’re taking the plunge!

My sister-in-law (hi, Kiley!) ended up getting us a super cute pack of white and black honest diapers, featuring a skull design. She also REALLY talked up the diapers, stating they worked amazing for her daughter.

Well, they didn’t disappoint!

We immediately realized that these diapers held up unbelievably well. We still wanted to use the diapers we had on hand, but ended up using The Honest Diapers exclusively at night. Once we finished the other diapers, we ordered our first Diaper Bundle. (Watch the FULL unboxing video here!)

According to the website, James was a true size 2 when we were gifted his first Honest diapers. They had a snug fit and I felt the adherent strips did not lose their adhesiveness easily. (Which is great when you get duped by a stinky toot!) They don’t have a starchy feel to them, and they have a very soft lining, with a sturdy structure. They are super absorbent and also do an amazing job at concealing those wonderful smells of #2s.

okay, but seriously, I never in my life thought I would have cute diapers. It just always seemed like an unnecessary luxury. But, when it’s paired with a diaper that is truly great, well, the cute patterns are just a cute bonus! I love that the patterns are cute, versatile – and they have new patterns every season!

Here’s some quick shots of my James looking unbelievably handsome (call me if you need a baby model, Honest Company! I know you’re melting looking at these, Jessica Alba!) in his current prints:

The laughs, the baby blues, the crazy hair – he’s just so perfect! #HeartEyes

I’ve polled a few fellow moms on what they thought of the cost, here’s my findings. Moms who had not tried the brand stated that it seemed expensive, while moms who had tried Honest Diapers stated they were worth the money.

My opinion? 100% worth the cost. Additionally, when you sign up for the bundle, you can add 3 items to each shipment – and save an extra 25% on those items! (I will do a full blog post on how the bundles work, cost, etc.)

By the way, you can go here for $20 off your first bundle!

The Honest Diapers have worked great for us. I find that I no longer need to get up as often at night for diaper changes, which works wonders for my sleep. Additionally, I don’t have to worry about diaper rashes, since they are just so absorbent. I like how well they muffle the smell of doodoos (although the smell comes at me with a vengeance during a diaper change). I think the price is well worth the product and service I receive, and I absolutely love the bundle option. (No more running out in the winter cold to get diapers!)

5 out of 5 stars.

I will definitely be ordering more from The Honest Company. I will keep you in the loop regarding all the different kinds of products I get, new print releases, and more! Stay tuned for price comparisons, bundle descriptions, un-boxings, and more!
